Education Volunteers Needed at Cattus Island Park

Are You?
- Available during the week?
- Willing to work with children?
- Interested in science and nature?
- Able to walk two miles in a day?
If So...
Cattus Island Park needs your help in April, May and and June. You will be assisting the staff in educating school groups. Training classes will be offered during the week of April 9th from 9:00am to 3:00pm. After completing training and assisting in at least seven group programs, volunteers will be issued a Cooper Environmental Center Docent Training certificate.

Contests include: Skeet Shooting, Decoy Carving, Retrieving, Duck and Goose Calling, Gunning Displays, Model Boats, Art & Photography, and more!

The Department of Parks & Recreation now safeguards more than four thousand acres of land which is dedicated to the enjoyment of our citizens and the conservation of open space.

This impressive acreage includes sixteen parks, four conservation areas, and two golf courses. Four more outstanding facilities in Barnegat, Beachwood, and Brick are presently on the drawing boards.
