The first of its kind in New Jersey, the Ocean County Board of
Freeholders opened the Ocean County One-Stop Center in June 1996.
Modeled after Gov. Whitman's
NJ EASE concept
to provide easier access to services, in particular for senior citizens, the
county located together departments that were housed in different areas of Toms
River to one key location on the campus of the Ocean County Board of Social
Services Complex.
The Office of Senior Services has 51 contracts with 22 service providers
throughout the county to deliver:
community support, home support, nutrition
support and access services.
