Ocean County is home to many lovely golf courses.  Among these are two public courses maintained by the Ocean County Department of Parks and Recreation.  In fact, Atlantis has been named one of the best 100 public courses in the Country, while Forge Pond was recently bestowed an environmental award in a nationwide competition!

Rates are extremely reasonable for residents of Ocean County with current Resident Golf ID Cards.  Tee times are taken up to eight days in advance. Tee Time privileges are available only to those who have valid Resident ID Cards or those who have purchased Non-Resident Tee Time Cards.

Ocean County Golf Course at Atlantis, located on Country Club Boulevard in Little Egg Harbor, is an exceptional par-72 championship course designed by George Fazio.  It is meticulously maintained and has many challenging holes, such as the scenic but tricky par-three sixth hole, where the golfer must negotiate a pond in the middle of the fairway in order to reach the green.  A full-service restaurant is on the premises and open to the public.

DIRECTIONS:

From the Garden State Parkway - Northbound: Exit 50 to Route 9 North, approximately 5 miles; right onto Mathistown Rd., for 2 miles; left onto Radio Road for 1 mile; right onto Country Club Blvd. to course entrance. Southbound:  Exit 58 (Route 539/Green St.) East approximately 3 miles to Route 9 South; 1/2 mile, then left at fork onto Great Bay Blvd.; 1/2 mile then right onto Radio Road for 2 miles; left onto Country Club Blvd. to course entrance.

Forge Pond, located in the Northeastern region of Ocean County in Brick Township, is a perfectly manicured par-60 executive course tucked into a 300-acre conservation area.  These fairways offer a challenge to even the most experienced golfer, yet allow the novice to perfect his game.  Here too, rates are very reasonable, especially for resident seniors.

DIRECTIONS:

From Garden State Parkway - Northbound: Exit 90; turn right (South) on Chambers Bridge Road to 3rd traffic light; take jughandle for N/B chambers Bridge Rd.; course is 1/4 mile on right.  Southbound:  Exit 91 to Route 549 South through 6 traffic lights (passing Forge Pond on left before 6th).  Take jughandle for Rt. 549 North; course is 1/4 mile on right.

Ocean County residents are eligible for a reduced greens fee upon purchase of a Resident Golf ID Card.  Only those golfers who present valid ID Cards at time of registration are eligible for reduced rates - No Exceptions!

2010 Fee - New Golf ID Card:  $25.00

The Resident Golf ID Card may be purchased at either of the two Ocean County Golf Courses, with proof of County residency.  Two of the following three proofs of residency are required (name and/or Ocean County address must be present on both forms):

1 - Ocean County ID Card (New acceptable ID)
2 - Current property tax bill or yearly residential lease
3 - Valid Driver's License
4 - Voter Registration Card

2010 Golf ID Card Renewal Fee:  $10.00

Resident Golf ID Cards are valid from the date of purchase through the end of the calendar year.  Cards may be renewed each year after January 1.  Presentation of one of the above listed proofs of residency is required in order to renew.

Replacement Photo ID Card: $20.00

Reservations are suggested at both courses and may be made eight days or less in advance by calling the appropriate course.  Walk-ins are accepted on an availability basis only.

To Reserve Your Tee Time...

Call either (609)296-2444 (Atlantis) or (732)920-8899 (Forge Pond) and:

SPRING-SUMMER-FALL:
Tee time reservations are taken 8 days in advance between the hours of 6:00 and 7:00 p.m. by phone call only.  For tee times 7 days or less in advance, reservations are accepted at the pro shop or by phone during regular business hours.
WINTER:
Tee time reservations are taken for weekends only, 7 days in advance, after 8:00 a.m.

Ocean County NJ Resident reservations are secured by supplying the bar code number on the back of the reserver's Golf ID Card.  Non-residents are required to give their home telephone number, subject to verification.

TO CANCEL an existing tee time quickly and efficiently, please use the golf course's automated telephone system by calling the appropriate course, entering "2" (Daily Updates and Cancellations), and following the instructions.  Failure to do so may result in loss of privileges.
