Project Homeless Connect Jan. 31
As in the past, a collaborative of agencies in Ocean County will be conducting a "Point-in-Time" survey and Project Homeless Connect on Thursday, Jan. 31. The survey is part of a statewide effort to obtain an accurate count of New Jersey's homeless population in response to a directive from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
This survey will be conducted throughout Ocean County.
The Project Homeless Connect sites are Ocean County Hunger Relief, Inc., 917-5 North Main St., Toms River, Plumsted Presbyterian Church, 14 Front St., New Egypt, Macedonia Baptist Church, 143 John St., Lakewood, The Hope Center, 253 Chestnut St., Toms River, St. Mary's Parish, 747 West Bay Ave., Barnegat Township, and The Salvation Army, 1738 Route 37, Toms River. Sites will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. depending on location; and sites may have a limited number of giveaways to those who complete a survey. Information about services available in Ocean County, and emergency contact numbers, will also be provided.
