Leaves, Brush and Vegetative Waste
The County Recycling Centers accept leaves and light brush from residents and landscapers.
Residents and landscapers must follow these directions.
Leaves are accepted at either the Northern or Southern Recycling Centers unbagged.
Brush is accepted at either of the Centers 4" in diameter or less.
Construction wood and stumps are not accepted.

Christmas trees are accepted during the holiday season at both the Northern and Southern Recycling Centers.
Only residents' material is accepted on Saturdays, no landscapers or municipalities.
Compost and woodchips are available free of charge to Ocean County residents and municipalities. Residents picking up compost and woodchips at the Northern Recycling Center must use the South Oberlin Avenue entrance. Resident pick-up of this material is limited to a pick-up truck or single axle trailer size load.
