In-Service Training Event

Ocean Ride held its In-Service Training Event on Tuesday August 18, 2009 at the Ocean County Fire and First Aid Training Center in Waretown.

In-Service Training Event

Ocean Ride presented some of the following employees Safe Driver Awards at the In-Service Traiing Event held August 18, 2009. New MDT’s (Mobile Data Terminal) – Live Days - July 31, August 1 & 2, 2007

Ocean Ride is in the process of installing new Mobile Data Terminals for its Reserve-A-Ride vehicles to improve efficiency and scheduling. “The MDT Pilot Team” from Left to Right: Frank Foley, Mirna Rivera, Christine Wilbert, Jim Holleran and Diane Heintz.


Celebrating Transportation

Ocean Ride recognized national Community Transportation Services Week April 24th - 28th with a week long celebration that included the opening of bus shelters, bus stops, an open house and a dedication ceremony for Patricia Curivan, Chairperson, who passed away in February 2006.

The celebration marked the accomplishments of the Ocean County Transportation Advisory Committee for Senior Citizens and Persons with Disabilities.

Photo 2: Freeholder Gerry P. Little thanks NJ TRANSIT's Tim Sharpe for the plaque he presented to Ocean Ride. Ocean County Freeholders declared April 27, 2006 as Rider Appreciation Day where passengers were allowed to ride the buses for free. Kathleen Edmond, Director, reported that there was a 28% increase in ridership that day.
