The Support Services Division oversees four units providing services to the Corrections Dept.

  • The Institutional Services unit provides food service for inmates and correctional personnel. All inmate laundry, commissary and supplies are also the responsibility of this unit.

  • The Health Care Services unit provides all health care to inmates using a private professional health care company under contract to the county.

  • The Program Services unit is responsible for providing or coordinating the following services to the inmate population; intake orientation, individual counseling and social services offenders, education programs, substance abuse counseling, vocational guidance and counseling, recreational reading library, law library, religious programming and citizen volunteer participation.

These services are designed to provide opportunities for personal development and to help reduce the stress associated with incarceration. Volunteers from the community provide numerous hours of service to the inmate population through substance abuse counseling, religious counseling and educational literacy tutoring. The Program Services unit is grateful to the dedicated service and support of the volunteers who freely donate their time to make inmate programming successful.
