Beach Haven Borough - Hotel De Crab

Captain John Tilton Fox, one?time skipper of the three masted schooner Mary C. Towne, came to Beach Haven to live after his marriage to Mary? Mathis of Tuckerton. John bought the Harvey Cedars life saving station and moved it to Beach Haven on a scow. He set it on pilings on the bayfront and used it as a boarding house, calling it "Hotel De Crab."
