2010 SNOWMAN PHOTO CONTEST WINNERS

 

Snowman Contest Winners

Toms River—The Ocean County Parks and Recreation held a Snowman Photo Contest.  The winners were announced by Freeholder John C. Bartlett Jr., Chairman of the department.  More than 50 entries were received from this past winter.

 

 Shaina Ashley of Toms River won for the Most Original, named Wally the Snow Whale, complete with blue food coloring.

 

Christina and Kevin Van Dervliet of Brick made the most traditional snowman, complete with hat, scarf, coal eyes and buttons, and a real carrot nose.

 

The Just for Kids winners were Donny and Jack Rappoccio of Brick.  The kids dressed up to match the St. Patty’s Day Snowman.

 

 

A snow buddy was built by 4-year-old Christopher Moglia of Seaside Park, and received special award for Kids Under 5.

 

 

A special Snow Baby Award goes out to Jessica Simunovich of Brick.  Jessica was 7 months pregnant, as was the snow woman.

 

 

All participants received certificates, and the winners received a package of toys and goodies to be enjoyed in the summer.

The Ocean County Board of Chosen Freeholders and Ocean County Parks and Recreation sponsored this contest.
