2025 Disability Employment & Job Resource Fair

On Tuesday, October 7, the Ocean County Commission for Individuals with Disabilities and the Ocean County Workforce Development Board, in partnership with the Office of Disability Services at Ocean County College, Waters and Sims Supported Employment Services, and the Ocean County Library System held the third annual Disability Employment Job and Resource Fair.

Housing as a Human Right 2025

On Friday, September 26, staff attended the annual Housing as a Human Right conference in Somerset. This year, we were especially proud to support our Assistant Director, Rose Bulbach, who participated as a panel speaker on “Leveraging Local Funding & Strategies.”

Women’s Advocate of the Year

The Ocean County Advisory Commission on the Status of Women brought the month of March – Women’s History Month – to a close by honoring the achievements of women, in particular, Deanna Sperling, President and Chief Executive Officer of Barnabas Health Behavioral Health Center and Senior Vice President of Behavioral Health Services for the RWJBH Behavioral Health service line, who was named the 2025 Women’s Advocate of the Year.

Celebrating Wellness 2025

On Wednesday, May 7, 2025, the Ocean County Mental Health Awareness Committee held “Celebrating Wellness,” a special program dedicated to highlighting the many activities our community has cultivated in an effort to reduce stigma, increase awareness surrounding mental health conditions, and celebrate wellness and recovery.
