Stockton Manahawkin Campus 712 East Bay Avenue Non profits and community leaders are invited to attend the Southern Ocean Chamber Spring Non Profit Forum titled “Activism Preparedness: How Pragmatic Activism can help you maintain your commitment to the social good” on Friday April 19 at 10am. This dynamic program will be presented by Orville Morales, Founder & CEO at Morales & Associates. His presentation promises non profit leaders a journey to empower, exchange ideas, and make real change in their community through Pragmatic Activism in under 60 minutes. Pragmatic Activism goes beyond theory; it’s an interactive call to action: participants can learn how to exchange real-world experiences, innovative strategies, and transformative ideas with like-minded and not-so-like-minded individuals. Gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence to make a lasting impact on your community.
Mr. Orville Morales has more than 20 years of experience working inactivism and education, including work as a campaign manager for the Public Goods Project, as a public liaison for one of New Jersey’s longest-serving U.S .House of Representatives members, and as an adjunct professor at Montclair State University. This experience led him to open M&A, with a vision of working with others to understand ,navigate, and drive people-focused decision-making int heir organizations and beyond.
For more than a decade the chamber has presented informative forums created to engage local nonprofit organizations that serve the Long Beach Island Region and Coastal communities. The event is scheduled to be held at Stockton Manahawkin Campus 712 East Bay Avenue. There is no fee to attend, but the organization representative must register with the Southern Ocean Chamber office by calling 609.494.7211 or emailing Kate@sochamber.com. Grant recipients for the Ocean County Culture & Heritage Commission will receive credits for attending. Light refreshments will be provided. The nonprofit forum is presented by Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce, Southern Ocean Chamber Association, Stockton University Manahawkin Campus & The Ocean County Culture & Heritage Commission.
