Mobile County Connection

The Mobile County Connection, which debuted in June 2004, is one of the most recent outreach efforts by the Board of Commissioners, under the leadership of Commissioner John P. Kelly.

Housed in a large van, about the size of a recreational vehicle, the Mobile County Connection provides many of the same services available at the County Connection at the Ocean County Mall. It is stocked with a wide selection of printed material to inform the public about the programs and services available to them through the various departments of County Government.

The staff are also available to answer questions about senior services, veterans services and many of the other programs and services funded by the Board of Commissioners.

Since its first run, the mobile County Connection has made regularly scheduled visits to libraries, shopping centers, health fairs, senior expos, municipal special events and festivals and even such unlikely places as the FirstEnergy Park flea market.

Over the coming months, the mobile County Connection will be visiting all 33 municipalities in Ocean County.
