TAKE NOTICE that Ocean County Engineering Department has filed a request with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection proposing to amend Ocean County’s Recreation and Open Space Inventory by:

Removing 0.412 acres from Block 70, Lot 13 in Manchester Township. Ocean County's 1989 Road Master Plan placed an easement over 0.412 acres of Block 70, Lot 13 prior to the parcel being encumbered. Therefore, the County should have reduced the area of Green Acres encumbrance by 0.412 acres since this portion of the parcel is not held for conservation or recreation purposes. 34.772 acres of the parcel will remain Green Acres encumbered.

Pursuant to N.J.A.C. 7:36-25.3(h)2v, a hearing to obtain public comment on this request will be held at Ocean County Library- Manchester Branch, 21 Colonial Dr., Manchester, NJ 08759 on September 23, 2024 at 6:00pm to 8:30pm

All information submitted by Ocean County to the Department in support of this requested ROSI amendment is available for public inspection at Ocean County Engineering Department – 129 Hooper Ave., Toms River, NJ 08753, as well as on the County’s website: https://www.co.ocean.nj.us/OC/Engineering/.

Public comment on this ROSI amendment request will be accepted during the public hearing or until October 7, 2024. On or after October 8, 2024, the Department of Environmental Protection may take formal action to approve the proposed ROSI amendment request.
