The Ocean County Security Department has a Training Unit under its Special Operations Division.
Training is an ongoing process for all Security Guards and civilian staff. The training unit is responsible for developing, scheduling and implementing all in-service training for the Department.
The Training Unit also provides training for County Employees in the following areas:
- First Aid
- CPR/ AED
- CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer (EMS, Fire, Nurses, Law Enforcement)
- Stop the Bleed
- Blood Bourne Pathogens
- HAZCOM (Right to Know)
- Basic Bicycle Safety (for schools and youth organizations)
- Oxygen Administration
CPR classes are held on the Third Wednesday of the month at the Fire/EMS Training Center in Waretown. To sign up for these monthly CPR classes please contact the Ocean County Training Center at 609-242-8450. Contact us to schedule additional classes.
Additional CPR, First Aid and CPR for Professional Rescuer classes, Blood Bourne Pathogens, HAZCOM, Stop the Bleed, and Oxygen Administration classes can be scheduled by contacting the Security Training Coordinator.
Bike Safety classes are conducted by our Security Bicycle Patrol Team and can be scheduled by emailing jgolubowski@co.ocean.nj.us
