Ocean County gives your books a second chance thanks to our partnership with Better World BooksBring them to our Recycling Centers between 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday. - Northern Recycling center located at 601 New Hampshire Avenue, Lakewood, NJ Drop off at building 68. - Southern Recycling Center located at 379 Haywood Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050 Drop off at building 105. These drop boxes will help keep books out of the County’s Materials Processing Center, where hardcover books can damage equipment or otherwise interfere with normal sorting procedures. Better World Books repackages books received from the drop boxes for online sale, with a portion of proceeds directly funding literacy programs, schools and libraries worldwide.
